ANN  GRIFFIN  MOORE

 

COWARTS. . . Ann Griffin Moore, a resident of Cowarts, died early Wednesday evening, August 1, 2012, in a Dothan hospital.

            Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, August 4, 2012, in the Holman Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Hugh D. Kirkland, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, near Newville. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Friday at the mortuary in Headland.

            Mrs. Moore was born in Dothan, daughter of the late James Arthur Griffin, Sr. and Louette Davidson Griffin. She moved with her family to Newville as a child and later graduated from Dothan High School.  Mrs. Moore lived in Dothan and Abbeville before moving to Cowarts in 2009. She was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church. Mrs. Moore was a retired employee of Ezzell’s in Abbeville.

 

            Surviving relatives include her husband, Howard Franklin Moore, Cowarts; two daughters, Cindy Whittington, Tallahassee, FL and Tammy Soong and husband, Kenny, Panama City, FL; a son, Howard F. (Pete) Moore, II, Cowarts; a sister, Jean Griffin Jones and husband, Mike, Abbeville; a brother, James A. Griffin, Jr. and wife, Linda, Montgomery; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann Haucke, Phillip Bynum and Ryan Soong.

            Heaven is no longer missing an Angel; Ann Moore arrived August 1, 2012 at 8:30 P.M.  I was looking for a miracle; the Lord was looking for an Angel. Congratulations Heaven, it is now a much better place. I have a very heavy, hurting heart, but Ann is no longer suffering, she is rejoicing with all our Angels in Heaven. My family sends thanks to all for the prayers and kind words through these very trying past few days. We love you all. God bless and keep you.
