ANNA DEATHEREDGE HARRISON 

BAINBRIDGE, Ga….Anna Deatherage Harrison slipped away on Wednesday, July 24, 2019, and went home to her Heavenly Father. She was 75 years old.

            Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, July 28, 2019, in the Wright Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel with a nephew, Wayne Parmer officiating. Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory. The family will receive extended families and friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Wright Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory are in charge of arrangements.  

            Anna was preceded in death by her soul mate and husband of fifty-four years, Harold Harrison; her parents, Virgil, Sr. and Blondell Deatherage; a brother, Kenneth Deatherage.

            She leaves behind to keep the faith, fight the good fight, and carry the family forward; her children – Phyllis and Robert Carlisle, of Birmingham, AL, Natalie and Earl Knight, of Bainbridge, Brett and Faye Harrison, of Bainbridge, and Chuck Harrison, Eglin AFB; thirteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; also surviving is a sister, Kathy Jones; her brother, Virgil Deatherage, Jr.; her sister-in-law Sandra Varnum; three aunts / her older sisters, Mary McNeil, Betty Franklin, and Robbie Whiddon; three sisters by another mother, Patricia Woodham, Pam and Doyle Wright, and Loretta and Mitchell Jenkins; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. And she loved them all dearly.

            Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in Anna’s name to: American Lung Association, 55 West Wacker Drive, Suite 1150, Chicago, IL 60601, or The American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.

            The family wishes to express their gratitude to those people for their compassionate care of our loved one: Dr. J. Sydney Cochran, Dr. Jarrod Atkinson, Randall Logue, CRNP Amanda Pybus, and Dr. Charles Walker.
