Annette Whitehead Lawrence of Cottonwood, died Wednesday, December 14, 2011. She was 83.

 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at 2 P. M. from the First United Methodist Church of Cottonwood ,with Reverend  Ken Jacobs Officiating. Burial will follow in Hodgesville Baptist Church Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home Directing.

The family will receive friends at the church from1 P. M.  until 2P.M Saturday, one hour prior to the service.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Gentiva hospice or The First United Methodist Church of Cottonwood.

Mrs. Lawrence taught guitar for many years at Strickland Music Company as well as in her home.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Cottonwood, AL .

She was preceded in death by her parents, Haisten and Myrtle Causey Whitehead, her husbands, Durwood Roland and Perrry Lee Lawrence, Jr.; five brothers, Enoch, Hubert, Winford, Cecil and Billy Max Whitehead also a nephew, Ricky Whitehead.

 

Survivors include; one daughter, Linda Arlene Roland, Blakely, GA

Four step-sons

One sister; Annie Lou Deese ,  Tampa, FL

Two sisters - in – law ; Melba Whitehead and Wanda Jane Dollar. Nieces and nephew, Vicky Stafford, Teresa Gintz, Charlotte Branton and Sheila Thomley.

Nephew, Keith Whitehead and a special niece and caregiver, Kaye Whitehead.
