Annie Dora Searcy Gilley Bragan

Annie Dora Searcy Gilley Bragan, 98, of Dothan, died Monday December 12, 2011 after a short illness at Extendicare Nursing Home.

Graveside Services will be held at 3 pm Thursday, December 15, 2011 at Goodwater Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Buddy Hood officiating and Byrd Funeral Home on West Main Street directing. The family will receive friends and family members at the home of Chris & Denise Gilley following the service.

Mrs. Bragan was born to John A. Searcy and Annie Elizabeth Dean on October 5, 1913. She lived all of her life in Wicksburg and Dothan. She retired from Dothan Hosiery in the 70’s. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church.

She is predeceased by her parents, two husbands, seven brothers and sisters, her son, Johnny Mike Gilley, and one grandchild.

Survivors include her grandchildren, Jeff Gilley, Chris Gilley, Beckey Fondren, and Michael Gilley; six great-grandchildren; and one special great niece, Susan Dye; and a host of other family and friends.
