Mrs. Annie Ruth King Owens of Black, AL passed away on Friday, February 28, 2020 at her home surrounded by family. She was 83 years old.


 Graveside funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 02, 2020 with Bro. Troy Alberson officiating, with burial to follow in Popular Head Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing.


 Mrs. Owens was born on October 24, 1936 in Holmes County, Florida to the late Henry Lee and Nellie King. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, fishing trips, working in her flower beds and spending time with her family. She was a hard worker, spunky and lived life to the fullest.


 In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin D. Owens; two brothers, Tommy and Clinton King and one great-great granddaughter, Emery Reese Sasser.


 She is survived by two daughters, Kathy Driver of Geneva, and Debbie Goodson (Mitchell) of Geneva; three grandchildren, Joey Dady (Jessica) of Black, April Mitchem (Paul) of Milton, FL, and Paul Goodson (Kristen) of Dothan; six great grandchildren, Trent Sweeney (Lindsay), Britany Sasser (Zach), Alan Mitchem (Emily), Hank Dady (Ashlea), Ellie Goodson, and Jack Goodson; one great-great grandson, Owen Sweeney; one great-great granddaughter, Ruth Anne Sasser; two brothers, Bobby King (Polly) of Geneva and Frankie King of South Carolina; one sister, Estelle Rucker of Tulsa, OK  and several nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.


 Serving as pallbearers will be Paul Goodson, Trent Sweeney, Alan Mitchem, Hank Dady, Paul Mitchem and Zach Sasser.
