ANSLEY "PawPaw" JONES

DOTHAN.…Ansley “PawPaw” Jones, a resident of Dothan, passed away Monday, May 25, 2020, at his home. He was 54.

            A graveside service will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday, May 28, 2020, at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Taylor Rutland officiating. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends following the graveside service.             In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Dothan, 300 West Main Street  Dothan, Alabama 36301.

            Mr. Jones was born in Dothan, Alabama and lived in the Dothan area his entire life. He was a member of the Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. Ansley was a 1983 graduate of Rehobeth High School. He had previously worked at Solomon Chevrolet but recently was working with RV Connections of Dothan. He never met a stranger and always had a smile on his face. Ansley was a loving father, loving grandfather “PawPaw”, a loving son, and a friend to all who he knew. He adored his grandchildren, of which affectionately gave him his nickname “PawPaw”.

            Leaving to cherish his memories are his sons, Kenton Jones (Sarah) of Headland, and Dalton Jones of Dothan; his parents, Buddy Jones (Janice) of Headland, and Marita Jones of Dothan; his brothers and sisters, Russell Jones (Debra), Jason Jones (Danica), Jennifer Baucom (Mark), Jarrad Jones (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Daisy Jones and Trent Jones; he also has several nieces, nephews, and cousins surviving.
