HEADLAND. . .Anthony “Tony” Moore, a resident of Headland, died late Thursday night, October 12, 2023, at his home. He was 79.

            There are no memorial or funeral services planned at this time. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.

            Tony Moore was born in Lauren, South Carolina and was reared in Bainbridge, Georgia, son of the late Andy Moore and Susie Martin Moore. He was a graduate of Midland City High School. Tony served his country in the Army National Guard and retired with the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 4. He was a member of Grimes Methodist Church. Tony was retired from Hayes Aircraft in Napier Field as an Inspector. He enjoyed outside activities including tinkering with his tractor, gardening, and landscaping. Tony was preceded in death by a son, Sam Moore and all his siblings.

            Surviving relatives include his wife, Reecie Brackin Moore, a step-son, Jimmy Adams, Savannah, TN; a step-grandson, Jonathon Adams (Kristy) and a step-great-grandson, Alex Adams.
