April Diane Simmons, of Slocomb, died Friday, November 6, 2020 at Flowers Hospital.

Celebration of Life services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at the Wicksburg Assembly of God Church with Pastor Tim Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Glover Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. prior to services at the church.

April was born March 26, 1984 in Dothan, Alabama to Kenneth and Janet Johnson Manning. However, April was raised by Richard Seaborn.  She lived in Florida for several years and was a 2002 graduate of Chipley High School. She later attended Troy State University and received her degree in Psychology. She was employed at Calvary Baptist Church Daycare for several years and was a caretaker as well. April enjoyed fishing and the beach.

She is predeceased by her father, Kenneth Manning.

Survivors include her husband, Steven Simmons, Dothan; three children, Gracie Simmons, Kaden Simmons and Ethan Simmons, all of Cottonwood; Mother, Janet Johnson Lewis (Ricky) of Dothan; her father-in-law, Michael J. Simmons of Slocomb; four brothers, Jonathan Manning, Jason Manning and James Manning, all of Dothan; Dewayne Manning, Birmingham; a sister, Erin Duke (B.J.) of Dothan; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
