Ashton Elizabeth Moss, a radiant beacon of compassion and spirit, passed away on November 1, 2023, in her beloved hometown of Dothan, Alabama. Born on October 30, 1987, Ashton's life was a testament to the power of love, determination, and unwavering spirit. Her life was a vibrant tapestry woven with threads of selflessness, spirited energy, and affection that touched every soul she encountered.

Ashton's early life was marked by her athleticism and vivacious spirit. A graduate of Northview High School in 2006, Ashton not only excelled in her studies but also shone as a travel cheerleader and was crowned Miss Spectrum. Her competitive spirit took her places early on as she became a gymnast at the college level when she was only 12 years old. She also developed a love for skiing at the tender age of 4, making annual pilgrimages to Park City to carve her path down the snow-covered slopes.

Her academic journey was equally remarkable. In 2008, she was awarded the prestigious Gentiva Scholarship, and by 2010 she had earned her nursing degree from Wallace Community College. The same passion that fueled her athletic pursuits also propelled her professional journey. Ashton was not just a nurse; she was a beacon of hope and comfort for those she cared for, embodying the essence of the profession with her compassion and dedication.

Ashton's love for life was infectious. She was a handful, different in the most beautiful way possible. Unapologetically herself, Ashton always told it like it was. Her heart was for caring for people, and those who were lucky enough to be in her club knew her for her generosity and kindness. She was a fervent attendee of the Wiregrass Church, drawing strength and inspiration from the messages. She was a lover of rap music, an enthusiast of dance, and had a knack for always being the best dressed at any event.

Her love extended beyond people to her furry friends, Marley and Finley. And for the past ten years, she showered her love and affection on her fiancé Joshua J. Miller and his daughters, Cadence and Reagan, whom she loved as her own. Ashton's large heart accommodated everyone she loved, including her father, Jay W. Moss, her mother, Cindy Maddox Moss, her sister, Alexis Moss (Billy) Ernst, and her numerous aunts, uncles, and extended family members.

Ashton's life was a testament to the words of Helen Keller, who once said, "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart." Ashton felt life with her heart, and in doing so, she made the world a more beautiful place.
