Avalynn Ayanna James, age 5, of Enterprise, AL, passed away, Saturday, January 4, 2020 in Children’s of Alabama Hospital, Birmingham, AL.

Funeral services will be held a 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at Hillcrest Baptist Church with Dr. Michael Mynatt officiating.  Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: aTeam Ministries, 1809 Oxmoore Road, Homewood, AL 35209.

Survivors include her mother, Kristen Mahan; father, Tony James, both of Enterprise, AL; maternal grandparents, Lisa Mahan, Enterprise; Mike Hussey (Wendy) New Brockton, AL; paternal grandmother, Louise James, Enterprise, AL; great-grandmother, Gaynell Miley, Enterprise, AL; maternal great-grandmother, Phyllis Mahan, Enterprise, AL; Lou Hussey, Gadsden, AL; aunt, Sierria Hussey; uncles, Jared Hussey; Brad Archie (Brooke); cousins, Hannah Grace Archie, Jackson Archie, Colton Archie, Brantley Archie, Ashlyn Miller, Taylor Hussey, Tori Hussey, Eli Hussey, Quincey Brooks,  Shaniya Brooks and Alonza Sibert.

A special thank you to all of our wonderful doctors and nurses at Children’s of Alabama, Ateam Ministries, Ronald McDonald House and to everyone in our community and outside of our community for all of the love, support and prayers that you showed our family during our journey, to Steve Hardwick with Home of Cakes for Children, and Angie Adams with Cards for a Cure and to Amber and Travis Jackson for all the love and support you showed our family throughout our journey.
