CLIO, ALABAMA. . .Benson D. “Benny” Sutton, a former resident of Clio and Ariton, died Tuesday evening, November 20, 2018, in the Ozark Health & Rehabilitation. He was 91.

     Graveside services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Friday, November 23, 2018, in the Pea River Presbyterian Cemetery in Clio, with Brother Kenneth Earles officiating. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements. The family will receive friends following the graveside services.

     Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Pea River Presbyterian Cemetery Fund.         

     Benny Sutton was born and reared in Clio, son of the late Charles McDonald Sutton and Lilla Angelline Glenn Sutton. He lived near Ariton from 1946 until 1974 when he moved Clio. Mr. Sutton returned to lived in Ariton in later years. He was a member of the Holmes Baptist Church in Ariton. Mr. Sutton retired in 1990 from the State of Alabama, Highway Department. He was preceded in death by all his sisters and brothers.

     Surviving relative include several nieces and nephews.
