Mr. Bernard “Bernie” Vincent Youdis of Kinston passed away at his residence on Thursday, November 19, 2020. He was 80. No services are planned at this time.

Mr. Youdis was born in Quincy, Massachusetts on November 1, 1940, to the late Guido B. Youdis and Carmela Gocibbi Youdis.  He graduated from a trade school in Quincy, Mass., and joined the US Navy.  He was stationed aboard the USS Forrestal during the Vietnam War.  He was an avid hunter and was obsessed with digging for arrowheads and other artifacts. 

He is survived by his friend Claire Hale of Kinston; four children, Michael, Sherree, Nikki, and Cristen; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Landry of Newnan, GA, and Carol Bays of Scottsdale, AZ.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
