Bessie B. Jacobs age 95 a resident of Elba, Alabama passed away peacefully Friday, March 22, 2024 at her home in Elba, Alabama. Funeral services will be held at Hayes Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, March 25, 2024 beginning at 2:00 PM with Rev. Steve Comer, and Min. Philip Box officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home. Visitation will be at Hayes Funeral Home on Monday, March 25th, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
Mrs. Jacobs leaves behind to cherish her memory, Daughter - Debbie Coleman, Elba, AL, Granddaughter - Hope Lane (Ashley) Boutwell, Fort Walton Beach, FL, Granddaughter - Haylee Coleman Russell, Opp, AL, Great Granddaughter - Alexia Brooke (Jacob) Comer, Enterprise, AL, Great Granddaughter - Abigael Hope Henley, Opp, AL, Great Grandson - Alexander Timothy Boutwell, Fort Walton Beach, FL, Great Granddaughter - Alexis Taylor Boutwell, Fort Walton Beach, FL, Great Granddaughter - Avery Teal Boutwell, Fort Walton Beach, FL, along with a great great granddaughter, Kinsleigh Brooke Comer, Enterprise, Alabama and several nieces, nephews, and cousins,
She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Paul Jacobs, by a son, Jimmy Paul Jacobs, by her parents, Fredia Hataway Norris and Cletus Norris, along with siblings, Essie B. Carpenter, Paulene Berry, Christine Jackson, Willie Ray "Bo" Norris, and Elbert "Short" Norris.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jerry Berry, Terry Berry, Dennis Manning, Mark Davis, Jacob Comer, and Larry Henley.
