Dora Elizabeth Dilworth

Dora Elizabeth “Beth” Dilworth, of Ashford, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2015. She was 56.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 25, 2015 at New Freedom Church, Webb with Pastor Larry Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Ashford City Cemetery with Byrd Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends Saturday morning from 9-9:45 at the church.

Mrs. Dilworth was born December 1, 1958 in Avon Park, Florida and attended school in Ft. Pierce, Florida. Most of her adult years were spent in Ft. Myers, Florida, but she has been a resident of Ashford for the past 10 years. Mrs. Dilworth was a very humble lady who loved nature and the outdoors and was especially fond of roses. She loved the beach, shopping and traveling. She was a devoted Christian and a member of New Freedom Church in Webb.

Survivors include her husband, George W. Dilworth, III of Ashford; three children, Carolyn Peterman of Dothan, Elaine Lux (Shawn) of Ashford, and John Long of Ashford; two step-sons, George W. Dilworth, IV of Fredericksburg, Virginia and Joseph Edwin Dilworth of Fredericksburg, Virginia; nine grandchildren, Cassidy Spires, Justin Spires, Logan Long, Trey Lux, Gage Dilworth, Savannah Dilworth, Madeline Dilworth, Abigail Dilworth, and Conner Dilworth; one great-grandson, Anthony Sanchez, Jr. (A.J.); her mother, Dorothy Sims of Bonifay, Florida; one brother, Eddie Goff of Chipley, Florida; and one sister, Carolyn Johnson of Bonifay, Florida.
