She loved the Lord and her family.  Betty had a deep spiritual faith in the Lord carrying her through life, surviving near death illnesses and debilitating blindness and diseases she was plagued with for many years.  She loved flowers and working in the yard and cooking until her health no longer allowed her to.  She loved all the people she met, she knew no strangers.  Currently a member of Pathway Baptist Church in Dothan, she was originally Baptized at the Cowarts Baptist Church where she was a member for many years.  While residing in Selma, AL, she became an active member of Selmont Baptist Church being a choir member, ladies quartet member, church hostess, youth director, and Sunday school teacher.  Betty was also honored by the church for her USO work.  Betty loved baseball and gave birthday parties and other special functions for the Selma Cloverleafs minor league team members including Players Lou Pinella, Duke Sims, and Ron Durham, managers Joe Moreland and wife Kaye, Pinky May and Milt May.

In lieu of flowers, request donations be made to Pathway Baptist Church or Cowarts Baptist Church in her memory.
