Betty Jean Thompson, 86, a resident of Dothan, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2022. She was born on August 14, 1936, in Houston County to the late Jack Campbell and Myrtle (Bruner) Campbell.


Funeral Services will be 11 AM, Thursday, October 6, 2022, at Ward Wilson Funeral Home, burial to follow at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Wesley Thompson, Sr., and a sister, Martha Smith.


Survivors include her children, Cecil Wesley Thompson, Jr. (Katrina), Cindy Yeomans (George), and Lissa Dykes (Jim), brother, J.C. Campbell, grandchildren, Jacob Yeomans (Kaylee), Casey Campbell, Courtney Fisk (Andrew), and Grant Dykes, great- grandchildren, Isaac Yates, Corey Yeomans, and Jackson Campbell, along with several nephews, nieces, and loving family members.


In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions to be made to: Mt. Gilead Baptist Church, 2864 S Brannon Stand Rd, Dothan, AL 36305.
