HEADLAND, AL… Betty Kathryn Douglas, a resident of Headland, Alabama, passed away Wednesday afternoon, July 13, 2022, at her home. She was 91.
Graveside services will be held 10:00 A.M. Friday, July 15, 2022 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Dr. Cecil M. Sanders, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Douglas was born in Headland, Alabama to the late Jesse James Sketo and Thelma Alice Carter Douglas. She lived her entire life in the Headland, Alabama and Dothan, Alabama areas. She was in hotel management her entire working career. She was a member of the First Baptist Church – Headland.
Along with her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Fred Durwood Douglas and her sons Ronnie Douglas and Michael Douglas.
Leaving to cherish her memories are her son, Kent Douglas of Headland, Alabama; her grandchildren, Brandy Duben (Brian), Shawn Douglas (Amy), Brent Douglas (Adrian), Jeff Douglas (Ashley); her great-grandchildren, Austin Douglas, Azland Douglas, Grace Douglas, and Andre Duben; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
