HEADLAND. . .Betty Joyce Loyd Williams, a resident of Headland, died Monday, January 30, 2023, at her home. She was 73.

A private graveside service will be held at Gardens of Memory. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangement

Mrs. Williams was born in Clopton, Alabama and moved to Henry County with her family as a young lady. She attended Naples High School in Naples, Florida, and graduated from the Henry County Training School in the Bethlehem Community, near Abbeville. Mrs. Williams retired as a Bank Teller with Bank of America in Naples, Florida after thirty-two years employment. She moved to Headland in 2005. Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her parents, James Loyd and Jane Green Loyd, and her husband, Sylvester Williams.

Surviving relatives include a son, Sylvester Williams, Jr., Naples, Florida; a brother-in-law, Marvin Williams, Tallahassee, Florida.
