Mrs. Betty Ann Hanks Ming, a resident of Georgetown, Georgia passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, Georgia. She was 66 years old.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 17, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Glover Funeral Home in Eufaula with Reverend Stephen Doss officiating and Glover Funeral Home of Eufaula directing. Burial will follow in the Georgetown Cemetery. A visitation will be held Friday, September 16, 2022, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Glover Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted.

Betty was born May 12, 1956, in Geneva, Alabama to the late James Hanks Sr. and Mary Ethel Seay Hanks. She worked for many years in the lunchroom for the Eufaula City School system where she loved and left a huge impact on many children. Betty lived a very simple life and enjoyed being around people and having a good time. Her family was the love of her life and adored her children and grandchildren. Betty attended Fellowship Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Linda Norton, Donna Lilly, and Terri Stevens; brother, James Hanks Jr.

Survivors include loving husband of 47 years, Ernest Jasper Ming; two sons, Chad Ming of Bakerhill, AL and Jamie Ming (Sharon) of Eufaula; three grandchildren, Loni Ming, AJ Ming, and Tanner Ming; great-grandchild, Andrew Ming; three sisters-in-law, Bonnie Glover (Eric), Emily Means (Bob), and Carol Webb; two brothers-in-law, Lon Ming (Lorena), Raymond Ming and several nieces and nephews.

Asked to serve as pallbearers are Trevor Dowling, Ryne Ming, Greg Moore, Jay Parmer, Stanley Jones, and Hal Jones.
