Mrs. Betty Sue Bozeman Bodie of Opp, AL passed away Thursday, February 10, 2022 at the age of 83.

Private memorial services will be held by the family at a later date.

Betty was born on April 04, 1938 in Covington Co., AL to the late Edward and Jessie Lee Short Bozeman.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She retired from the textile industry as a smash technician at the cotton mill in Opp, AL. She believed in hard work and taking care of her family. Betty was a faithful member of the United Pentecostal church and served in the fellowship as long as her health allowed.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Bodie; son, Eddie Bodie; brother, Charles “Buddy” Bozeman and sister, Mary Bozeman Lawrence.

She is survived by her loving and devoted daughter, Mindell Bodie Thompson of Opp, AL; two grandchildren, Clint Bodie (Rachel) of Opelika, AL; Ms. Blake Bodie of Opelika, AL and six great-grandchildren.
