Billie Jean Bass, 74, a resident of Cordova, AL., went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 14,2020. She was born on January 22, 1946 in Walker County, FL., to the late Gertis Henderson and Opal (Swindle) Henderson.


Graveside services will be at 3 PM, Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Memory Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 PM – until service time at Ward Wilson Funeral Home.


Bille was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She was a Christian lady who look forward to being in church. Her hobbies included fishing and going out to eat.  Bille was always willing to lend a helping hand to all those in need.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sterling Bass, brothers, John, Billy, Chester Henderson, sisters, Lorene Bland, Pauline Bland, and Margaret Agnesson.


Survivors include her daughter, Jean (Joel) Frost, sister, Anna Geir, brother, Jimmy (Linda) Henderson, grandchildren, Amanda Lollar, Miranda (john) Leary, Jessica (Michael) Frost, and Kimberely Tatum, and eight great-grandchildren.
