Billie Joyce Brackin Fowler, 97, a resident of Dothan passed away on Wednesday October 4, 2023, at her residence.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 Friday October 6, 2023, at Memphis Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Ricky Plummer and Reverend Scott Turvin officiating and Glover Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:30 until 10:30 am on Friday prior to the service time.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Bethel Baptist Church Building Fund, 3257 E. Cottonwood Road, Dothan, AL 36301.

Mrs. Fowler was born September 9, 1926, in Dothan to William and Lumile Walters Brackin. She attended Ardilla, Cottonwood and Ashford schools. She was employed with Wex-Tex in Ashford for over 20 years. Mrs. Fowler was a homemaker and a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

She is predeceased by her parents, her spouse, James Ashley Fowler; two sons-in-law, Larry Fowler, Jimmy Clayton; a sister, Lauraline Antley and a granddaughter-in-law Robin Fowler.

Survivors include two daughters, Judy Fowler of Dothan, Towona Clayton-Warg (Donald) of Dothan; four grandchildren, Bucky Fowler of Birmingham, Dustin Fowler (Brandy) of Dothan, Tonja Clayton Turvin (Scott) of Headland, Chris Clayton (Melissa) of Ashford; several great and great great grandchildren; and a bonus son, Willie Pittman of Webb.

Serving as pallbearers will be Bucky Fowler, Dustin Fowler, Chris Clayton, Cade Fowler, Josh Turvin and Curtis Henry.
