COLUMBIA…Billy Earl Myers, a resident of Columbia, died Sunday evening, June 20, 2021, in a Dothan hospital. He was 73.

   Celebration of life services will be held at 5:00 P.M. Sunday, June 27, 2021, at the Myers Pond on the Family Farm on Ebenezer Road. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.

   Billy Myers was born in Columbus, Georgia and was a lifelong resident of Columbia, Alabama, son of the late Earl Guy Myers and Viola McCormick Myers. He was a 1966 graduate of Houston County High School. Billy was most known for owning Myers Meat Market until he retired. He enjoyed fishing, looking at the pond and watching Alabama football. Billy was preceded in death by a daughter, Jessica Myers.

   Surviving relatives include his daughter, Juliana Myers Ellison, two sons, Stephen Myers (Shanna), and Garrett Myers, all of Columbia; his sister, Jane Perry (Bobby), Columbia; five grandchildren, Gavin Zeh, Shelby Myers, Meaghan Zeh, Sydney Myers and Lyla Myers; nieces, Karen and Brenda; extended family, Carlos, Maggie and Nesto; and the mother of his children, Joy.
