Billy Edward Stevens, Jr. “Eddy”, 66, a resident of Dothan, passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at his residence. He was born on April 3, 1955 in Dothan to the late Billy Edward Stevens, Sr., and Jacqueline Fuller Stevens.


The family will have a memorial visitation on Friday, April 23, 2021 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home from 11 AM until 1 PM.


Billy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all who knew him. He owned and operated Pa’s Place Deli on Fortner Street and The Blues Kitchen in downtown Dothan. Billy was a proud Eagle Scout and loved volunteering at Wiregrass Food Bank and Love In Action. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and he never meet a stranger.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Smothers.


Survivors include his wife, Laura Stevens, brother, Keith (Teresa) Stevens, son, Jason (Kasey) Wood, daughters, Lacey (Hugh) Moye, and Kelli (Dustin) Thornton, brother, Clay Gwaltney, grandchildren, James Wood, Emily Wood, Allison Wood, Samantha Moye, and Holland Thornton.
