BILLY  FLOYD  SKIPPER

ABBEVILLE. . .Billy Floyd Skipper, a resident of Abbeville, died Thursday, March 29, 2018. He was 83.

            Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, April 2, 2018, in the Abbeville Memorial Cemetery with Reverend Ray S. Reiley officiating. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 A.M. Monday at the mortuary.

            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Log A Load for Kids, P.O. Box 978, Dothan, AL 36302

            Mr. Skipper was born and reared in Abbeville, son of the late Travis Bryant (Coot) Skipper and Fannie Wilson Skipper. He was a graduate of Abbeville High School and received a B.S. Degree in Business Administration from Troy University. Mr. Skipper served his country in the U. S. Army Reserve in the Abbeville unit. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Abbeville. Mr. Skipper was retired as the owner and operator of Skipper Hardwood Lumber Co. He was preceded in death by a sister, Daisy Crowley and a brother, James Thomas Skipper.

            Surviving relatives include a daughter, Jan Brown (Benny), Abbeville; and a son, Tom Skipper, Abbeville; three grandchildren, Scott Brown (Kayla), Lauren Brown and Ridge Skipper (Christina); a great-granddaughter, Khaleesi Skipper; a niece, Kaye Hutto; and nephews, Tab Crowley (Shirley), Keith Crowley and Todd Crowley.
