Obituary:  Mr. Billy J. Sale 

     Mr. Billy J.”Bill” Sale of Wicksburg AL passed away Thursday, December 15, 2011 in Tuscaloosa, AL at DCH hospital.  He was 82. 

     Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, December 19, in the Pilgrim Home Baptist Church with Rev. Buddy Hood officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Pilgrim Home Baptist Church.  

     The family will receive friends at the Pilgrim Home Baptist Church on Monday from 11:00 until service time. 

     Mr. Sale was born on August 21, 1929 in Clarkton, MO to the late James E. and Laurene Cox Sale (who died when he was a baby). He was a member of Pilgrim Home Baptist Church.   

     He was preceded in death by a son: Terry Lee Sale, 3 sisters: Martha Jane Sale, Betty McMillin and Margaret Burleson, brother: James H. Sale and the mother who lovingly raised him, Alverda Sale. 

     Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Peggy Sale, Wicksburg, AL, 5 daughters: Brenda Sale, Harrison, MI, Elaine Sale, Clio, MI, Joeann Foster (Stephen) and Suzanna Sale all of Starkville, MS, Robin Aplin, Dothan, AL, 3 sons: Bill Sale Jr, Birmingham, AL, Michael Sale, Dothan, AL, Billy Sale, Wicksburg, AL, 1 step-son: Scottie Devenney, Valley, AL, many loving grand and great grandchildren.
