Billy Ray Nichols, age, 91, of Coffee Springs, AL, passed away, Monday, October 5, 2020.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, October 8, 2020 at the Enterprise Chapel of Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Randall Pearson officiating. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to:  The Gideons International, P.O. Box 97251, Washington, DC 20090-7251 or online at https://www.gideons.org/donate.  Please note the family is requesting that everyone wear masks and follow social distancing for the service.

 

Mr. Nichols was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Neoma Nichols; brothers, Hilmer and Donald Nichols; sisters, Annie Ruth Lecompte, Sybil Hart, and Bobbie Jo Walters; and stepchildren, Marcus Stricklin, Sandra Kendrick, and William Henry Stricklin.

He was a loving husband to Peggy Nichols.  He was cherished brother to Mae Frank Davis of Ozark, AL.  Bill was a wonderful father and stepfather to Terry Nichols (Cathy) Columbus, GA; Sherry Stegmiller (Bill) Hoganville, GA; Jerry Nichols (Pamela) Chancellor, AL; Kerry Nichols Columbus, GA; Barry Nichols (Regina) LaGrange, GA; Barbara Bedsole Newville, AL;  Wanda Bacorn (Ron) Broken Bow, OK; Nathan Stricklin Enterprise, AL; and Kelli Nichols Coffee Springs, AL.  He had many special grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
