BILLY WAYNE HENDERSON

COLUMBIA… Billy Wayne Henderson, a resident of Columbia, Alabama, passed away Thursday afternoon, April 4, 2024, at a Dothan hospital. He was 50.

          Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, April 8, 2024, at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel with Pastor Eric Norris and Reverend Vann Cooley officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Springs Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery, in Pansey, Alabama. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. prior to the service. At other times, the family will be at the home of his sister (Linda Welch) 5705 Headland Avenue. Kinsey, Alabama 36303. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.

          Mr. Henderson was born in Donalsonville, Georgia to Patsy Ann Taylor Henderson and the late Gerald Daymon “Buddy” Henderson. He lived in the Henry / Houston County area of Alabama his entire life. He was a truck driver and a farmer his entire life. He was recently working with Pitchford Farms near Columbia, Alabama. He was an avid outdoorsman, where he loved to fish and hunt.

          Leaving to cherish his memories are his wife, Amanda Wade Henderson; his daughters, Audrey Burkett, Zoie Diane Henderson, and Courtney Henderson; his son, Cody Wade; his mother, Patsy Ann Taylor Henderson; his sisters, Linda Welch (Bill) and Kim McElyea (Bret); his grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
