Billy Wayne Ryals, Sr., a resident of Columbia, died Thursday, May 30, 2019 with his family at his side.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 2, 2019 at Antioch Baptist Church in Ashford with Reverend John Smith, Reverend Greg Aman and Reverend Danny Bynum officiating. Entombment will follow at the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery with Kendall Glover directing. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Mr. Ryals to Antioch Baptist Church, 3250 South Rocky Creek Road, Ashford, AL, 36312.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2019 from 3:00 until 5:00 pm at Glover Funeral Home Chapel. At all other times, the family will be at the residence of his mother, Dorothy Ryals.

Mr. Ryals was born December 14, 1965 in Houston County to Dorothy Ryals and the late William Henry Ryals, Sr. He was a 1984 graduate of Ashford High School. He was employed at Tri-State Roofing for 35 years as a roofer and sheet metal worker. He enjoyed spending time with his sons and granddaughter. He also loved to go fishing. Mr. Ryals was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

Mr. Ryals is preceded in death by his father, William H. Ryals, Sr. a nephew, William Justin Ryals and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

He is survived by two sons, Billy Wayne Ryals, Jr. “B.J.”(Rachel) and Matthew Ryals (Jodi); a granddaughter, Abigail Ryals; his mother, Dorothy Ryals;  a brother, William Ryals, Jr. and a sister, Stephanie Ryals-Ingram (Todd), all of Ashford; uncles and aunts, Mack Pynes (Merlene), Dennis Pynes (Nell) and Walter Pynes (Maxine), Sarah Chalmers, Linda Hallford, and Sybil Harper (David); nieces and nephews, Eric Ryals, Kayla Ryals, Brandon Ryals, Ashton Ingram and Luke Ingram.

Pallbearers will be B. J. Ryals, Matthew Ryals, Chris Walker, William Davis, Chip Edwards and Eddie Johnson.
