BILLY WAYNE SKETO

DOTHAN, AL… Billy Wayne Sketo, a resident of Dothan, Alabama, passed away Tuesday morning, November 30, 2021, at Signature HealthCare of North Florida in Graceville, Florida. He was 79.

            Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, with Reverend Joey Pettis officiating. The family will receive friends following the services. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.

            Mr. Sketo was born in Dothan, Alabama to the late Charles P. Sketo and Nancy Catherine Fails Sketo. He lived his entire life in the Dothan, Alabama area. He was a 1961 Graduate of Houston County High School. Immediately following high school, he entered into residential construction as a carpenter. He was a member of the Kinsey Baptist Church.

            Leaving to cherish his memories are his wife, Barbara Kay Dowd Sketo; his son, Steve Sketo (Sheryl) of Midland City, AL; his sister, Mary Shelley (Gary) of the Tumbleton Community near Headland, Alabama; his grandson, Spencer Sketo (Kaitlin) of Midland City, Alabama, and his nieces and nephews.
