Billy Wayne Tucker, age 60 of Midland City, passed away early Saturday morning, May 9, 2020 in a local hospital.


A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11am Wednesday, May 13, 2020 in the Chapel at Family First Funeral Care with Reverend Joey Hudspeth and Chaplain John Gormley officiating. Burial will follow in the Memphis Baptist Church cemetery. A gathering for family and friends will be held Tuesday evening from 6pm until 8 pm at the funeral home. Common sense social distancing should be followed.


Billy was born in Donalsonville, Georgia on December 6, 1959 to the late James Olin Tucker, Sr. and the late Edna Fowler Tucker. Billy was a maintenance tech and supervisor for Wal-Mart for over 27 years until he retired. In his spare time, Billy enjoyed fishing, spending time with children and watching old Western movies, especially anything with Matt Dillon. He was Baptist by faith.


In addition to his parents, Billy is preceded in death by three brothers, Greg Tucker, Leonard Alvin “Big L” Tucker and Larry Tucker; also two sisters, Linda Gail Tucker and Carolyn Tucker. Billy is survived by four brothers, Tony Tucker, Jimmy Tucker, Randy Tucker and Kevin Phillip Moore. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
