Bobby Edward Brackin

Bobby Edward Brackin, a resident of Napier Field, AL, passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at his residence. He was 88 years old.

Graveside services will be held at 1 pm on Friday, January 28, 2022 in Sunset Memorial Park with Pastor Mike Griggs officiating.

Bobby was born on December 18, 1933 in Henry County, AL to Novie and Letha Brackin. He lived his early years in the Blackwood community. Bobby was a house painter and then later worked with W.J. Powell. He retired in 1982 from McDermott, Inc, where he worked on the oil rigs. He loved going fishing in Eufaula with his family, camping and working in his yard. Bobby enjoyed riding his lawnmower all around Napier Field.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Carolyn Brackin. Survivors include his three children, Novia Brackin, Marty (Nora) Brackin and Kathy (Billy) Frazier; and four grandchildren, Jason (Tiffany) Thweatt, Christopher (Sylvia) Brackin, Andrew (Priscila) and Anthony Brackin; his beloved caretaker, Julia Miller; and his special K9 companions, J. T. Choco, and Junior.
