Bobby Gene Strickland, Sr

 

Bobby Gene Strickland, Sr, age 60 of Dothan passed away suddenly on Thursday, December 22, 2022.  Funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2022, 2 p.m. at Family First Funeral Care chapel with visitation at 1 p.m. 

Mr. Strickland was born June 20, 1962 in Donalsonville, Georgia to Shelby and Sylvia Strickland.  He was self employed as a tile setter.  He enjoyed watching Auburn football, Atlanta Falcons and wrestling.  He also enjoyed fishing and riding dirt roads.

Along with is mother, Sylvia Strickland, he is preceded in death by his two brothers Billy Dickerson and Donald “Curly” Dickerson.

He is survived by his father, Shelby Strickland; sons Bobby Strickland, Jr, Brandon Strickland; daughters Brittany Strickland, Bethany Strickland; 4 grandsons; 4 granddaughters; mother of their son Bobby/former wife and caretaker Tanya Thomas; sisters Mary (Dennis) McGowan, Rhonda (Thomas) Mitchell, Debra Strickland Freese, Brenda (Todd) Metcalfe; several nieces and nephews. 

The family will be gathered at 3510 Stanley Road, Dothan, AL.
