Bonnie Louise Dooley, 69, died August 5, 2019, at Enterprise Health and Rehabilitation Center in Enterprise, Alabama.

She was born December 13, 1949 in Richmond, Virginia to Al and Dorothy Dooley. A graduate of Daleville High School and Troy University, she taught 30 years in Decatur County, Georgia schools. She was teacher of the year at Bainbridge Elementary School and West Bainbridge Middle School. She served as a cheer coach, Girl Scout leader, and sponsor of several school clubs during her tenure. Bonnie was a member of the National Educators Association, Georgia Association of Educators, Decatur County Association of Educators, and a member of the Bainbridge Service Club.

Bonnie was an avid pet lover and could never turn away a stray of any kind! She was an active member of the First Assembly of God in Newton before her entry into the nursing facility. She was recently named 2019 Miss Enterprise Health and Rehabilitation, a title she was enormously proud of!!

Preceded in death by her parents, Bonnie is survived by an aunt, Betsy Woods, Macon, Georgia, a host of friends, co- workers, and residents of The Enterprise Health and Rehabilitation Center!

A special thanks to Sandra Elaine Summers Cherry and Sheila Waddell Allsup for looking out for Bonnie for many years.

Visitation will be held Thursday, August 8th at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory in Daleville at 12:00 pm until service time. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm with Rev. Chris Adams officiating. In lieu of flowers, we ask donations be made to the SOS Animal Shelter, 25944 Hwy 134, Enterprise, AL 36330.
