Bonnie Schmittendorf , age 62, loving mother, grandmother and wife, died on March 1, 2012, at her home following a courageous battle with cancer, with her husband and family members at her side.


 


          The funeral services will be held on March 5, 2012 at 1:00 P.M., at Hillcrest Baptist Church with Bro. Michael Mynatt and Bro. Matt Smith officiating.  Burial will follow at the Enterprise City Cemetery on Main Street with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing.  Visitation will be on March 4, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. at Searcy Funeral Home where the family will be receiving friends and visitors.


 


          Bonnie was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church of Enterprise where she worked for several years as the Children’s Ministry Assistant.  She was loved by many and will be remembered by all those she has touched.


 


          Bonnie was born April 25, 1949 in Buffalo, Texas.  She was the daughter of the late John Carlton Gardner and Gladys Mable Daniel.  Her grandparents are the late John and Lilly Gardner of Jarrell, Texas and Elmer and Alma Daniel of Dew, Texas.  She had 5 brothers and 2 sisters, the late Jackie Gamel (Gardner), Bob Gardner, Ann O’Neal (Gardner), Ronnie Gardner, Pete Gardner, Dennis Gardner, and the late Terry Gardner.


 


          Bonnie is survived by her husband, Jim Schmittendorf of Enterprise; three children, JoAnne Jackson (Ernie); Robin Marsh (Brad); Jamie Schmittendorf (Krissy); 8 grandchildren, Danielle Jackson (13); Mason Marsh (12); Nicki Jackson (11); Caleb Schmittendorf (10); Colin Marsh (10); Molly Marsh (5); Faith Schmittendorf (4) and Ashley Schmittendorf (1).
