Braxton Comer Whitaker of Geneva passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2019. He was 72 years old.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing.

Mr. Whitaker was born in Manchester, GA on January 25, 1947 to the late Comer Braxton and Zora Black Whitaker. Mr. Whitaker was a gifted piano player. He played for several churches, and he was a member of the Waylighters Quartet group out of Birmingham.  

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one brother, Fred Whitaker.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Elsie Whitaker of Geneva; one daughter, Belinda Lynn Livingood of Tampa, FL; three sons, Brian Lee Whitaker, Jeffery Dion Whitaker both of Geneva, and John David Whitaker of Corpus Christi, TX.
