BRENDA G. BICKLEY SPENCE

GEORGETOWN, GA.…Brenda G. Bickley Spence a resident of Georgetown, GA, passed away early Thursday morning, March 4, 2021, at her home. She was 78.

            Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 7, 2021 at Memory Gardens of Eufaula Cemetery, with Billy Ray Hagler officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. All Covid-19 social distancing guidelines will be in place and followed. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.

            Mrs. Spence was born in Eufaula, Alabama, to the late James Ellis Enfinger and Erma Jewel Goff Enfinger, and lived most of her lifetime there. She had lived a short while in Headland, AL, before moving to Georgetown, GA about five years ago. She is a member of the Washington Street United Methodist Church of Eufaula. She was retired as a warehouse clerk with American Builders in Eufaula, AL.

            She enjoyed cooking for her family and gardening, but spending time with her family was her favorite thing to do. She had such a warm and inviting personality and could converse with anyone. She had a heart of gold and sweet spirit which led to her being loved by so many.

            Along with her parents she was also preceded in death by a son, Ray Bickley; and a granddaughter, Bridgett Wilson.

            Leaving to cherish her memories are her husband, Bobby Spence of Georgetown, GA; her daughters, Shanda Wilson (Harry) of Headland, AL, and Fonda Vollenweider (Mike) of LaGrange, GA; her son, Ritchie Bickley (Susie) of Headland, AL; her five step-children; her sister Quenette Spurlock of Dothan, AL; her grandchildren, Jessica Bickley, Cadie Bickley, Brittany Dollar (Brandon), Morey Wilson (Shea), Chelsey Brackett (Solomon), Nicholas Sumner (Tamara), Ashley Sumner (Lance), Cole Bickley, and Tanner Bickley, ten great-grandchildren, several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
