Mrs. Brenda Joyce Hood of Hartford, Alabama passed away Sunday, August 12, 2012. She was 56.

 

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 15, 2012, in the Geneva Family Worship Center with Rev. Coy Haney and Rev. Scott Terrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, from 6 until 8 p.m.

 

Mrs. Hood was born October 29, 1955, in Hammond, Indiana to the late Frank and Alma Hollon Watters. She was a member of Geneva Family Worship Center. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Hood loved her job at Wal-Mart and enjoyed going to the mountains in Tennessee.

 

In addition to her parents, her father and mother-in-law, J.W. and Lois Hood, and stepfather Grover Hollon, all preceded her in death.

 

Survivors include her husband, Jerry W. Hood of Hartford; one daughter, Shannon Williams (Will) of Hartford; two sons: Michael Hood (Chrystal) of Samson, Jeremy Hood and fiancée Brandi Yeomans of Hartford; four grandchildren: Cody, Conner, and Cameron Williams, and Desi Hood; one sister, Elaine Leger of Hartford and best friend, Linda Campbell of Waynesville, NC.

 

The family would like to say a special thank you to Gentiva Hospice for the loving care that was shown to their loved one.
