Brenda K. Johnson of Elba passed away on Monday, February 21, 2022.  She was 64.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 24, 2022, in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Samson, with Rev. Pat Kelley officiating.  Burial will follow at Goodman Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Samson, directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Brenda was born in Bartow, FL on December 31, 1957, to the late Charlie M. Hudson and Nettie Lee Robinson Hudson.  She was also preceded in death by her son, Charlie “Flyrod” Allen Johnson; and two brothers, Pete Hudson, and Buck Hudson.

She is survived by her husband, David “Dock” Johnson; four daughters, Nettie K. Hudson, Crystal Ann Sasser (Shane), Kayla Parrish (Chris), and Tina Johnson; stepson, David Dean; brother, Billy Wayne Hudson (Catherine); two sisters, Ann Johnson (Mack), and Jan Kelley, all of Elba, and Cathy Kirklin (Phillip) of Andalusia; five grandchildren, Katie Maddox (Jonthon), Dalton Sewell (Kendra), David Hudson, Avery Webster, and Scarlet Johnson; and eleven great-grandchildren, Zander Maddox, Onna Leigh Parrish, Bristol Shane Parrish, Kyree Sewell, Aubrey Sewell, Mason Sewell, Lysandria Maddox, Alister Maddox, Shelby Maddox, Shealeigh Johnson, and River Johnson.
