Brenda Thames

Brenda Thames passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at her residence. She was 67 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 15, 2022 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Sean Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, January 14, 2022 from 4:00-6:00pm.

Brenda was born on April 17, 1954 in Dothan and lived here most of her life. She was a 1972 graduate of Dothan High School. Brenda attended Wallace Community College and was employed with the health food store in Northside Mall. She was employed with Northwestern Insurance Agency as an Administrative Assistant and later with Carnes Chiropractic Wellness Center as an Office Manager for the past 17 years. Brenda was the top sales person with Avon for several years and received the Presidents Award. Brenda’s life focus was always on her family and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of New Seasons Fellowship Church.

Survivors include her husband, Mike Thames; her children, Michael (Lynette) Thames, Matthew Thames and Natasha (Christopher) Wells; her five grandchildren, Clayton (Chloe) Lingo, Caleb Lingo, Makayla (Logan) Albritton, M. Austin Thames, and Kieleigh Wells; four great- grandchildren, Vayda Lingo, Logan Albritton, Jr., Sage Lingo, and Cash Lingo.
