Brett Anthony Bond, resident of Dothan, passed away on July 11, 2019 at his residence. He was 32. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 13, 2019, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, 3245 Houston County 81, Gordon, AL 36343, with Reverend Jim Corley officiating. The family will be receiving friends at Sunset Funeral Home Friday, July 12, 2019, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.


Brett was born in Dothan, Alabama on February 8, 1987 to David and Myra Bond. As a child, he was known for being sweet and would hug everyone he met when he entered a room. In his middle school years, Brett enjoyed playing baseball and football. He later graduated from Rehobeth High School, Class of 2005. Brett enjoyed collecting knives and receiving his survival kits in the mail. He also loved to build computers, watch Alabama football, and work on cars with his dad.


He was preceded in death by his sister, Keisha Diane Bond; his paternal grandparents, Joe and Beulah Bond; and his maternal grandfather, William R. McNeal Sr.


Survivors include his parents, David and Myra Bond; One sister, Brittnay Renee Bond; one grandmother, Betty McNeal; his best friend, Cameron Godby; and numerous Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.
