Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, November 27, 2022 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1-2 pm.

Survivors include her son, Klaus (Joann) Kimble; her daughter, Sonya (Bobby) Adams; her two grandchildren, Ashley Adams and Kayla Adams; her sister, Isolde Schotz; her nephew, Frank Schotz; her niece, Ulrike (Dirk) Ruschke; her great-nieces and nephews, Frances (Tobias), Vivian, and Stephen; and her great-great nieces, Magdalena and Luise.

Brigitte was born and raised in communist East Germany. Her mom passed away at only 40 years old from Leukemia. She said she held on without oxygen waiting for my mom to come from West Germany. She has a sister, Isolde in Germany. Brigitte married my dad in Germany and came to the states. She has been the best mother that two kids could ever ask for. She is the kindest, sweetest, loving, helpful, most beautiful woman I’ve ever known. She was right beside me when Ashley was born and loves her grandchild, like she gave birth to her. My mom and I had a bond like no other. Wherever people see one of us, you see the other. All the sales clerks at stores would recognize us. She loved my brother, Klaus so much. She was extremely proud of him. She always told me stories about him sitting outside the shower and crying until she got out. He couldn’t stand to be away from her as a child. She made the best food, but unfortunately, I didn’t inherit her ability. We always grew up eating German food like Rouladan and goulash. She said when she met my dad his stomach was always hurting, but she got him straightened out with her good cooking. She always dressed so nice and always smelled so good. She loved animals with all her heart. She had 4 cats at home. My mom was Lutheran and was baptized in Germany. She believed in God and told me all the time that we would see each other again. I knew when God took her, he would be gaining the sweetest, most beautiful Angel he’s ever seen. I am the selfish one. I want my mom to stay here with me. I don’t know how to carry on without her. My love for her was exceptional. I can’t even put into words how much she meant to me. I’ve been praying for a miracle for years, to heal her lungs. I trust in God; I just want her healed. I can’t stand to see her suffer. I guess God only wants the great ones, because my mom was the Greatest one of ALL. I love you mom!
