He was so well liked by his classmates that they are holding an informal memorial gathering in his honor at the Dothan Botanical Gardens this Thursday, October 5th at noon. They also plan on planting a tree in his name.
Bruce Heflin Knop, 71, shed his battered earthly body and went to be made whole in heaven Tuesday, September 26th, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Fred Knop, and survived by his brother, Robert Knop.
Bruce was a member of the 1970 Dothan High School class, and will be remembered for his scholastic and athletic accomplishments and his fun loving attitude. He was a member of the National Honor Society and an outstanding player on the basketball team.
His positive attitude and determination since that time are a beacon to all of us who face any level of adversity.
