Bruce “Randy” Bess, age 68, of Enterprise, AL, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2022 at Grandview Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, February 18, 2022 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Rev. Chris Thomas officiating.  Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends beginning at 9:00 A.M. until service time in the chapel.

Randy served in the United States Air Force for six years.  He was always telling stories of the adventures he had.  He loved serving his country.  Randy loved to cook for the love of his life, Bebe.  They shared 15 years together, traveling to fun places like Maui, trying new restaurants and looking for Bebe’s next antique find (usually a rug).  His traveling included yearly family trips with the Garrett siblings.  Randy loved to share a craft beer with his son Adam.  They shared many long phone calls together and fun trips visiting in Georgia.  He loved Patrick like his own son, and they shared wonderful trips and memories together.

He was preceded in death by his son Erik Ryan Bess and his father, TJ Bess.

Survivors include his wife, Bettye “Bebe” Bess, Enterprise, AL; three sons, Adam Roland Bess (Mary), Oakwood, GA; Andrew Lucas Bess, Phoenix, AZ; Patrick Schado, Jr. (Whitley), Skipperville, AL; brother, Phillip Bess (Sarah), Jackson, MO; two granddaughters, Hallie and Piper Schado.
