Bud Boyd of New Brockton, AL passed away, Sunday, August 19, 2012 in Flowers Hospital.  He was 44.

           Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, August 22, 2012, at Searcy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sonny Moore officiating and Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until service time.   In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Alabama Wildlife Federation, 3050 Lanark Road, Millbrook, AL 36054.

           Bud was a loving husband, son and father.  He was an avid outdoorsman and a land surveyor for Alabama Power Company.

           Survivors include his wife, Dana Whittaker Boyd, New Brockton; son, Whittaker James Cotter, New Brockton; his parents, Ann  N. and Townsend Boyd, New Brockton;  three sisters, Debbie Branch (Ron) Boone, NC, two nephews, Joey and Boyd Branch; Lisa Fuller, Montgomery, AL, two nieces, Kailin and Meredith Fuller, nephew, Everett Fuller; Tammie Moore (Garreth) Enterprise, two nieces, Julia and Caroline Moore; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Betty and Travis Whittaker, New Brockton.
