Candace Lea White-Sartain, 39, of Geneva, Alabama went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, Alabama.

Candace was born June 28, 1980, in Chicago, IL to mother Maria Williams. She was the youngest of three siblings. She attended Dekalb High School, Kishwaukee College earning an Associate degree and went forward to attend Northern Illinois University earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Individual Development. In 2003 she moved her family to Chipley, Florida where she worked as a Social Worker. Her choice to become a social worker was an example of how she lived her life and how she extended love towards others.

Candace's greatest pride and joy was her son Christian. She was a great mother, teaching her son to love God, grasp adventure and see as much of the world as possible. She enjoyed traveling and had an adventurous spirit, which she shared with all those who knew her. Candace believed in the power of education. She inspired many family and friends with her example and encouraged everyone she came in contact with to pursue their goals. To know her, was to be inspired and to feel greatly loved.

She is survived by her husband Jason Sartain, Geneva, AL., son Christian (father, Daryl) White, Geneva, AL., stepson Ashton Sartain of Dothan, AL., stepfather, Samuel Krouse of Bonifay, FL., sister, Crystal L. Barradas-Jimenez of Bonifay, FL., brother Pernell Ferguson, best friend Elizabeth Wright of Sycamore, IL and a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother Willie L. Bingham, her grandfather, Edward Beamon, her mother Maria Krouse, brother Marcus T. Williams, niece Sita Lea Ranney, and nephew David Terell Gopal Ranney.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Trinity Church with Pastor Gene Hauser and Pastor Allen Marsh officiating and Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. There will be a time of gathering on Saturday at the Church beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Candace did not wish to receive flowers for her memorial but instead would like it if contributions were made to Christian's college fund. The link to contribute is paypal.com/pools/c/8k2Kro2jYQ
