Carlton Wade Brewer (Pap, as he was known to his family and friends), age 83, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2022, at Medical Center Enterprise.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, June 6, 2022, at Searcy Funeral Home Daleville Chapel with Wayne Brewer officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until service time.

Mr. Brewer was a brilliant steel fabricator in Birmingham for thirty years and was well-known in the industry. He was a supervisor for most of those thirty years and mentored many fabricators in that area. He was also in the vinyl siding business in south Alabama for years and has installed siding on countless houses in the Dothan, Enterprise, Daleville, and Troy areas. Pap was a devoted family man and a friend to all, always generous with his time and efforts.

Mr. Brewer was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ann Brewer; the mother of his children Imogene Hinshaw; son Johnny Brewer; sisters Maybelline Brewer and Agnes Brewer; brothers Pete Brewer and Grady Brewer; and best friend Charles Ray Richey.

Survivors include his son Wayne Brewer (Joy) of Tullahoma, TN; daughter Tammy Hollister (Mike) of Newton, AL; grandchildren Brandon Brewer (Amber), Michael Hollister (Ashley), Jonathan Brewer, Hayden Stefin (Matt), Curtis Ragan, and Breanna Brewer; two great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law Mary Brewer.
