DOTHAN. . .Carlton Ray Deese, a resident of Dothan, died Monday, December 5, 2022, at his home. He was 84.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 7, 2022, in the Smyrna Baptist Church with Chris Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Wednesday in the church sanctuary. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Deese was born and reared in Webb, son of the late Carlton Deese and Annie Doris Money Deese. He moved to Dothan in 1957. Mr. Deese was a member of the Smyrna Baptist Church. He was retired from APAC as a Superintendent in the private work division. Mr. Deese was preceded in death his wife, Linda Watson Deese and a brother, Bobby Deese.

Surviving relatives include two sons, Michael Ray Deese (Angela), Dothan; and Scotty Deese (Kellie), Panama City Beach, FL; a sister, Clyde Griffin (Billy), Dothan; a brother, George Deese (Glenda), Panama City Beach, FL; two grandchildren, Michael Scott Deese (Brandi), and Tyler Deese (Sidnie); two great-grandchildren, Brandon Michael Deese and Waylon Deese; special canine friend, “Little Bit”; several nieces and nephews.
