Carol “Granny” Cox, 78, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at Wesley Place surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Georgia on March 18, 1943, to the late Herschel Lee Redden and Cecil Grace Redden (Stringfellow).


 Carol was a loving, caring, and devoted mother, grandmother, and sister. She enjoyed watching sports, especially the Atlanta Braves. Carol attended and cheered for her granddaughter Kara who play’s sports for Wicksburg, including basketball and softball.


Graveside Services will be held Sunday, March 6, 2022, at 2:30 PM at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1PM until 2 PM at Ward Wilson Funeral Home.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Cox, brother, Rudy Redden, sister, Grace Janet Smith, and daughter in law, Rachel Cox.


Survivors include her children, Chris (KiKi) Cox, and Corbie (Terry) Wade, and Allen Cox, brother, Larry (Sue) Redden, and Robert (Patricia) Redden, sister, Linda (David) King, sister-in-law, Barbara Redden, grandchildren, Hollis (Ashley) Cooley, Alexa Cox, Robert Cox, and Kara Cox, great-grandson, Troy Bond, her fur baby, Daisy along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving family members.
