Mrs. Carole Thompson Burch of Goat Hill Road, Samson, Alabama passed away Sunday, June 17, 2012.  She was 67.

 

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 20, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Elbert Smith officiating.  Burial will follow in the Liberty Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Geneva directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, June 19, from 6 until 8 p.m.

 

Mrs. Burch was born November 7, 1944, in Holmes County, Florida to the late James Jesse and Cleo Miller Thompson. Carole was a 1963 graduate of Bethlehem High School.

She was a very faithful servant to the Lord and enjoyed attending church until her health began to fail.  She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

 

In addition to her parents, a brother, Alvin Thompson, preceded her in death.

 

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, David J. Burch, Samson; one daughter, Pamela Chancey (David), Samson; two sons: Richard Burch (Tammi), Black, and Keith Burch (Marci), Samson; six grandchildren: Aaron Burch (Denise), Susie Burch Beagles (Zach), Marley Burch, Cole Burch, Kaleb Kelly and Easlyn Chancey; one sister, Berniece Huggins, Westville; other extended family.
